The greatest part of childhood would have to be that pain is almost always temporary. Whether it be physical or even mental, it goes away. If you yell at a child, although they might be sad, they forgive you. They’ll come running to you the next hour to show you what kind of Lego sculpture they’ve made or this cool thing they saw on tv. Children don’t hold grudges. They choose to always remember the good in people rather than the bad. As we grow older, we forget how to forgive. We grow so cynical of others. What a horrible thing it is that growing up means growing cold. Our hearts get broken and friendships are lost. But we should never lose our hope in people. Never let go of the vision of the world you had when you were young.
